Browsing Alphabetically

With a print encyclopedia, you can pick up the "B" volume and flip through pages to find an article about baboons. On the way, you often discover new knowledge; for example, what's a babirusa? It's possible to browse Britannica Student Library CD encyclopedia articles in a similar fashion.

To browse the article titles:

  1. Choose a Library.

  2. Click the above the Workspace.

  3. Click the at the top of the Control Panel. Note: A-Z Browse opens automatically when you enter the Browse mode. You should see a list of articles displayed below the Control Panel.

  4. Type one or more letters into the Browse box to see article titles that begin with that letter or combination of letters.

  5. Use the scrollbar to move through the results.

  6. Click a title to view the article in the Workspace.
